Maria Brink

 Maria Brink (born December 18 1977) is an American musician and singer, most famously known as the frontwoman of the metal band In This Moment. In This Moment went on to release seven studio albums and receive four nominations. Two came from Alternative Press Music Awards, one from Grammy Awards, and one from the Loudwire Music Awards.Brink has been honored with "Rock Goddess of the Year" in the third (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards, "Hottest Chick in Metal" in the year 2010. She was named one of eleven women in heavy metal who count by Yell! Revolver Magazine recognized Brink as one of the Hottest 25 Chicks in Hard Rock & Metal in 2012 and Pulse in Albany, New York. In 2002, when she was 25, she moved to Los Angeles to find a band to join. Prior to having a band, Brink worked in shops, as well as in coffee shops and bars. In 2004, she met band member Chris Howorth at an audition.At first, Howorth rebuked Brink due to her gender. Howorth apologized to Brink and then hired her to sing for her within a few days. They formed the group Dying Star with drummer Jeff Fabb .They were later joined by guitarist Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell. Soon, the band changed their names to In This Moment
