Anna Silk is a Fredericton resident, and is the daughter of Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had many abilities, which included the ability to act, direct and produce plays, as well as write them, teach, and be Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father comes from Britain as does her mother, who is an "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's earliest memories include attending play rehearsals as well as watching her mother's work. In her early years, Anna appeared in several commercials. Anna was transferred to Toronto in the fall of 1999 in order to continue her acting career. Then, she settled at Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Anna came across Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an actors' training in Los Angeles, and they got engaged in the year 2009. Anna was a convert to Judaism by then, and Seth Cooperman were wed in the month of December in Fredericton. The couple got married in April 2011, they renewed their wedding vows by having the traditional Jewish ceremony. Bo's similar-sex romance to Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was noted in CNN's list of all-time favorite TV Couples and was named the top Television Couple of 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's fame on social media grew as a result of Anna's show.
